Dual, Triple, and Quad G_d

If you are a Christian, a power accompanies your life. This power is greater than great; its nature is “surpassing greatness.” It is not human power but the actual “strength of God’s might.” The Almighty demonstrated this “power toward us who believe in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand. In other words, the power of God’s might is resurrection power.
~ Francis Frangipane

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the One who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~ the end of Romans 8

Oh beloved, it is true.  There is this gorgeous moment that occurs in the life of every true believer.  And for some it comes early in our walk – and for most, it comes later.  It is the moment when we become utterly, completely, totally, fully persuaded.  We stop only believing, and we come to simply know that G_d:

Knows exactly what He is doing.

Is too kind to be cruel.

Is too wise to ever make a mistake.

Enables us to bear up under temptation.

Always provides a way of escape.

Has set an amazing path of life and peace before us.

Provides everything we need for life and godliness.

Possesses wisdom manifold in structure, timing, and outcome.

Holds existence itself in His hands.

Is indeed Love.

Cannot lie.

and…

Does not change.

and…  That all the above (and exceedingly, abundantly more), is in play – for us.

All of G_d is already all in for us.  The dimension does not matter.  2D, 3D, 4D and on through the posited 11 dimensions of this universe already move and have their being within Him.  And our lives, drenched in these ups and downs and forwards and backs and lefts and rights – moving through time – are already drenched in everything He is for us as well.

Can we see it?  The goodness of G_d is infinite.  There is no curve.  There is no law of supply and demand.   So, everywhere we go, everything we have done, everyone we have met – and loved and hurt and helped and failed – has been in the context of being in the Presence of One who is in control, and Who is working all things together for good.

Everything that has been part of our existence has brought us to the point where we are convinced that the G_d we serve is not “somewhere out there.”  He is not the “Man upstairs.”  He is, most definitely, our Best Friend.  And in that moment of becoming convinced, we realize the most profound of the profound truths of the gospel…

We are now His completely, utterly, totally beloved friend as well.

Are you convinced friend?  Tell Him your doubts.  He will set them at ease, and replace the wondering with wonder.  Give it time.  This fool of a writer promises you will never regret this one last battle to believe.

I began to draw near to the believers among the poor, simple, and ignorant, the pilgrims, monks, and peasants. The more I contemplated the lives of these simple folk, the more deeply was I convinced of the reality of their faith, which I perceived to be a necessity for them, for it alone gave life a meaning and made it worth living. The more I learned of these men of faith, the more I liked them and the easier I felt it so to live…. Still I did not find him whom I sought…. I realized that the conception of God was not God himself. I felt that I had only truly lived when I believed in God. God is life. Live to seek God, and life will not be without him. The light that then shone never left me…. I came to know that God is all we need.
~Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910)
