In Him, It’s Often Just Plain Fun!

Reader…  This is an edited letter sent to a friend. I talk about myself alot here, but the intent is to share what HE can do in a life fully yielded to Himself.  Love and Blessings, Mak

Am growing in thanks for what G_d did in me at Keswick.  The exchanged life works (zero doubt).  Glad He chose to finally wake me up to this.  Grace ROCKS!  Yeah, coming to Phoenix early, I felt a little bit like a “bullet being fired into molasses.”  But what is awesome (and I mean that word), is that His Word, His Spirit, His plans – they do not fail.  I now see very clearly that life is only and all about Jesus.  G_d will do His thing, His way, in His time.  And yet – rather because of that – His Grace imbues us with a simply stunning sense of love, adventure, hope, joy, purpose, clarity, strength, and just plain fun!   As I trust and yield, this stuff just flows out through my life.  Oops, sorry are you getting some on you?…, I can’t help it.  How cool is that?!?!

The distractions and temptations abound, but He is sustaining me.  In the past, I tried real hard to hold onto “spiritual” gains (haven’t you heard? It didn’t work).  I am plugged in at my church (and a couple others), praying, doing my devotions, looking for work, and staying pretty busy.  But now, these activities are in submission to His leading, and a simple desire to know and be known by Him.  He has made it so I just wanna love Him and love other people.  This has made ALL the difference.

I’m sure many of you know it, but I now see that only a small minority “get” the vital paradigm of the normal Christian life (a life of victory brought about by the power of the Holy Spirit).  I do not feel proud that I “found the secret.”  I am only profoundly thankful that G_d chose a hot juicy mess like Makala – and then spoke to that old man’s heart in the pinelands of New Jersey.  Don’t know if there is a body laying somewhere around on the grounds of Keswick, because a new man came back to Phoenix.  One chaplain called Keswick an “elephant graveyard.”  He said people don’t always know it, but “they come here to die.”

He showed me a tiny fiber of the train of His robe in the place called America’s Keswick.  And for this, I may be among many men, most blessed.  Stick a fork in me reader.  I’m done (and undone!).  Even so, the new Mak can’t wait to see what G_d is doing next!  Soli Deo Gloria!

Love and blessings to all the folks doing His thing at America’s Keswick and the Colony of Mercy.  May G_d credit all this to their account on That Day!  That Day when the LORD of Terrible Aspect; The Love that made the worlds; the Consuming Fire Himself, brings us all back together.  On That Day, we’ll never again be separated from each other, or His Presence…

But until then, In Him, we’ll just go.  And let’s at least make sure we send each other a Facebook message once in a while, eh?

They also have a booklet called: “Have You Made The Wonderful Of The Spirit-Filled Life?” for those who already are Christians, but want to begin living a life that is really great!
