Ps. 16:11 Ministry Update: 8 March 2011

Thanks for all your prayer and support.  Much is happening here in AZ.
God continues to teach all of us as we yield our lives to Him.  It is in total surrender to Him that we find the space and place that His fruit of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control begins to grow.
In submission we are free to value other people. Their dreams and plans become important to us. We have entered into a new, wonderful, glorious freedom, the freedom to give up our own rights for the good of others. For the first time we can love people unconditionally. We have given up the right for them to return our love. No longer do we feel that we have to be treated in a certain way. We can rejoice with their successes. We feel genuine sorrow at their failures. It is of little consequence that our plans are frustrated if their plans succeed. We discover that it is far better to serve our neighbor than to have our own way.
~Richard J. Foster (1942- )
The mission of this ministry is to provide both natural water to the world’s thirsty, and living water to those in need around the world.  This is clear.  What it looks like in terms of a clear scope of work is not clear.  Please continue to pray for vision.
CURRENT STATUS:
1) The travelling ministry is on hold.  God is clearly showing me a path for ministry here in town for now.
>  Pray for my sister Cyndie as she battles cancer and other health issues.  Pray for me as i have moved in with her to help with the battle.  I am joyous and whole, but “danger zone” tired right now.  God is showing up big-time.  His grace and strength are real.  A recovered addict, though, must guard against too much fatigue.  It is a gateway to problems.  There is a truism.  An ex-addict should never get too “HALTD”  HUNGRY, ANGRY, LONELY, TIRED, or DISORIENTED.  Actually this is good wisdom for any human being i guess!
>  Pray for four men that I am building relationships with right now.  All four are in various stages of addiction recovery.  Pray that I would be an usher for them…  An usher into God’s presence and an usher away from the fear and rebellion that drive addiction.
>  Pray as i go through a 17 week counseling training program at my home church (Grace Community Church, Tempe, AZ).  i very much need to learn some of these skills moving forward.
>  Pray for other ministry and personal relationships He is growing in my life.
>  Pray as I work in a very worldly environment at work.  There are so many hurting people.  Pray that they would literally sense Jesus and His Love when i am in their midst.
2) The writing ministry is going full steam.  A new entry goes up just about every day.  COME VISIT!!!!  The blog blog.ps1611.org and website www.ps1611.org has now been viewed in over 55 countries, with an average of about two countries a week joining the list.  Also, the traffic to both sites has been growing, and is approaching 1200 page views a month.  These venues are providing encouragement and a clear presentation of the Gospel to visitors.   Please pray that God would use them to bring glory to Himself, and many into a right relationship with Himself.

Please.  This is not just a newsy email.  Will you all pray?   Will you tell me what He is telling you as you pray?

Much love to you all.  Let me know your requests as well.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
~ Romans 15:13
