Yeah, OK, but what kind of new creation am i? Isn’t that verse just some sort of philosophical statement? Like just some sort of “picture” of the way it is to be a Christian?
Well, uh… no.
The Bible says that those who have trusted Christ for their salvation (see Got Jesus?), are actually and really a different being than before conversion. G_d makes literally dozens of definitive statements about WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST.
Beloved, what if we simply gave up on being our yucky old selves and just surrendered to who G_d says we are? Read the list. If we slow down and consider the possibilities, we might just wonder why we were ever trying to cram our old life into some human notion of what is was to be a ‘good christian.’
Read the list. Reckon it true believer. For true it is, regardless of our perception!
