Oh beloved, it is true.
There will be days that want to knock the stuffing out of us. They absolutely will come. And we can lay there on the ground for quite a while trying to put the fluff back in place. However, this is not possible. And usually just causes more problems than they are worth.
Jesus gives many commands that are impossible to follow, apart from His Spirit. And, it is in this spirit, that we need to ask Him for the help to be:
Fearless
Still
Watchful
Quiet
Can we see it?
G_d is not allowing troubles that we would be troubled. G_d is allow the storm to rage that we would learn to live and grow under the shadow of His wings.
This fool of a writer is in a storm where i am trying to figure out why some people who are believers are acting so badly towards my family. But, the truth is, i need to understand that it is not possible for me to try to adjudicate such a situation. There often is no villain, and no ‘why.’ The world just sucks. It is not yet the Kingdom in full.
So, are you having a tough day? They happen. But, the can be a great reminder of where we need to go, and how we need to grow. Tonight is your night. Time to work on the work that matters: Loving Him and Loving others.
And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.
