Final Reality: No More Enemy

I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.
~ Martin Luther King Jr.

I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
~ The end of Paul’s First Letter to the church that met at Corinth

Oh beloved, it is true.  There is a Day soon coming that will never end. The Day of The Lord is real.  And we who know Him, greatly await and Love His appearing.

  • There will be a Day when we breathe air that has never been fouled by sin or death or sickness or pollution or waste or anything that is not of Him.
  • There will be a Day where the wind of that air will snap straight the flag of Zion.
  • There will be a Day when the snow that falls in the winters of that place will be the whitest white we have ever seen as it dazzles in the seven-fold brightness of the Kingdom.
  • There will be a Day where the healing of the nations is the norm, and the crushing of evil will be as common as crushing old pottery for disposal.
  • There will be a Day where disease and pain will no longer exist.
  • There will be a Day where the only thing lacking is our memories of need.
  • There will be a Day where death is dead, and Life is so real that it can no longer come apart.
  • There will be a Day where fear has scattered into the darkness that can longer abide in this place.
  • There will be a Day where the only law of the Kingdom will be Love.  And that one law will suffice forever.

Can you see it beloved?  Can you feel it?  It’s real.  And it is coming.  Oh, come Lord Jesus!

Are you ready?

And He will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and bread, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. In that day your livestock will graze in large pastures, and the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground will eat seasoned fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork. And on every lofty mountain and every high hill there will be brooks running with water, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day when the LORD binds up the brokenness of His people, and heals the wounds inflicted by His blow.

~ from Isaiah 30

Note: Thanks to Steven Curtis Chapman for reminding me today of the Day that is most surely coming.
