The Christmas War-cry: PEACE! JOY! HOPE! - Warrior of The Presence

The Christmas War-cry: PEACE! JOY! HOPE!

Christmas… He is forever now with us through His birth, life, death, Resurrection, and the sending of His Spirit. We have no idea yet how important this is for us individually – and for the entire universe.

“Let this be to you the mark of true gospel preaching – where Christ is everything, and the creature is nothing; where it is salvation all of grace, through the work of the Holy Spirit applying to the soul the precious blood of Jesus.”
~ C.H. Spurgeon

Salvation rips through the surface of time in the cry of a tiny Babe.
~ Bruce Cockburn

We had nothing to do with this.

He, them, this One-in-three in One. This beyond-infinite I AM who WAS, and IS, and is TO COME has a plan that we will not ever fully understand. Even as we become one with Him in eternity through the consummation of the wedding feast of the Lamb, we will ever be the weaker vessel; only able to be filled to pour Joy back on our beloved Husband Christ Jesus. An eternity of eternities will roll out underneath our tireless and joy-filled feet as we chase after the deep center of who He is.

Will we ever even get close?

This we now know, Hope permeates all of creation through what Christ has done. All is well in Him. And things will soon get immeasurably better. What a Blessed Hope is ours!

That we can have peace and intimacy with this One who enfolded Himself first into eternity, and then into a body to get to us… What is this?!?! This is mind-blowing! Soul-rending! spirit-shaking!

And now He calls us friend.

And now He lives in us – and us in Him.

Why? What kind of Joy is this!!! Who are we that He is mindful of us. How wonderful to be known by Him… How wonderful to have begun to know Him. Thank you Jesus!

Merry Christmas beloved.

Thanks be to God for his unspeakable Gift—
indescribable
inestimable
incomparable
inexpressible
precious beyond words.
