A re-post celebrating the Home-going of my sister this week…

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “
It is done!
I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the beginning and the end.

Beloved. Don’t ever forget what we are doing here with the Great Commission. By His strength, we are working towards a day when EVERYTHING is going to be alright. EVERYTHING is gonna be way more than OK.
Jesus. Jesus Himself. Yeah, really Him, with all conquering believers really there on that day. And we get to hear Him say it. “It is done.” and very likely something like, “I win. I AM so very glad you are here with me! Oh how I love you from the uttermost depths of myself. Come my dear friends. Let us begin. There is so much to be and do and see… Eternity will strain to contain it! All is now and forever well, let’s do this as it was ever-intended: together!”
Oh! Can you hear it!? What a blessed hope! Can you hear the crowd of BILLIONS respond – as one – to their beloved Spouse, Captain, Brother, and Friend? Words do truly fail here.
But then, it will get even better.
He, Him, Jesus. Yeah, really Him, is going to look you in the face. No death, no fear, no pain, no sin. It’s all gone. It’s all behind. He’s going to look you in the face, and He’s gonna grab you and hug you like the best friend EVER could (cause He Is). Then, He’s going to pull back just a little… and look you straight in the eyes. GOD IS GOING TO LOOK INTO YOUR EYES. And simply be infinitely happy to see you. Up to this point, you knew things were going exceedingly well. Then, you finally get it. It’s even better…
It’s all about Him. And He is wonderful. And He will always be wonderful. Always.
Deep eternity will be but a moment for this truth to sink in.
I can only imagine! What deep unending joy to stand in His Presence and to see Him face to face!
