Oh beloved. We are surrounded by it.
The world. All of it. Every single bit of it… is a lie. Oh, surely not the beautiful creation He spoke into existence. No, it is this fallen world, the cosmotic system about which this writer speaks.
And every aspect of this twisted and fallen part of creation is designed to do one – and only one – thing: Take our eyes of of the only One who can really show us the truth.
And even in trying to reach out in this milieu and do the right thing, we get hammered with deception, false signals and false flags. Even the very people we trust and love are hard to perceive as who they really are. Signals of truth seem to get jammed in their transmission. Good intentions get received as bad. Thoughts of peace are spindled into perceived thoughts of evil.
And while this messed up world is surely a mess made by people like us, it is made even worse by the fact that there is a fallen prince given temporary authority to wreak havoc in this air we breath.
Neither is there anything in us that can fix the problem. One of the greatest of the great lies is that the answer to the problem lies within. No, we know this one truth: that which is within us (on our own) is desperately sick – so sick that we can’t even fathom how sick it is.
Even so… there is an Overriding Factor
