Only God can meet our deepest need because only God has no need Himself. And as we more fully understand that God needs nothing, perhaps we as his children can more fully know the depths of His holiness, His justice, and ultimately, His love.

Beloved, It’s not about us.
It is, most definitely, ALL about Him.
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
And they sang a new song, saying:
“ You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”

Be to Him who sits on the throne,

Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!”
And the twenty-four elders fell down
and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

This One. This Source of all. This Absolutely Ultimate Hero. This One surrounded by millions of millions of creatures more relevant, simply made a decision. He chose to make us, and then He chose to Love us with everything that is Himself. He fulfilled a desire fully apart from need. He needlessly desires to Love… me.
He is a Kingly kingmaker that literally poured every bit of His being into the work. And we have the dazzling audacity to think that G_d has some need to be fulfilled by a relationship with us? NO friend! He is so very Full; so very Complete. He is worthy – not needy.
Who is this One?!?! i have no idea.
Perhaps somewhere in deep eternity, we will begin to get a glimmer of Who He Really Is. This is probably a good thing. To know it or see it right now would probably just vaporize our existence. He’s too Big, too Real, too Terrible, and way too Beautiful to even think about clearly.
But i do know this: He has poured out His great Love in, on and through me. He has shown me a reflection of a glimmer of a thread of the train of His robe, and it has changed my life. He given me an insatiable desire to know Him and to be known by Him. Now, i live in the polar opposite of this Love-relationship. i desperately need and desire Him. He is the Author and Finisher of all this. Without me, He is fine; but without Him, i’m nothing.
Oh beloved! He is so very real. His desire is for you. Give Him you. Not because He needs you, but because He wants you.
