Let Him!

The issue is:  The closer we get into the Presence of God; as he draws us nearer, the fact is there’s less room for the stuff of self.  The actual flesh, all the junk, all the pieces, all the yucky things that we bring along with us; our attitudes, yeah, even our self-identity become unusable and just don’t fit in His presence. That’s why its so vital to get out of the way and let Him do His thing.  In His presence is the fullness of Joy and as we get closer, there’s just no room for anything that’s not spotless and Holy.  Its not about us getting better to get closer to Him, He’s just gotta burn away the old man. Let Him do it.

He’s Holy , He’s Complete, He Just, He’s really Good.  Yet, the fact is, we just think we gotta bring this whole storehouse full of garbage with us to help Him with His program.  And we just don’t have to do that.  Here’s the deal.  He’s got a real storehouse of weapons for Righteousness and Holiness and Purity and Love and Goodness and Wisdom and Beauty… all of this.  They’re the best ever made.  Ever.  They are spiritual weapons for wielding incredible cosmic power, for His Glory.  And we get to use them as we present ourselves as a sacrifice to be used by Him, for His purposes!

All He wants is you!  Not your stuff.  Not your good works.  Not your flesh.  He wants the deep inner you.  Let Him have you believer!  Let Him have you for His purposes.  I don’t know what His purpose for you is, reader, but let Him have all of you and everything is just gonna be wonderful.  His Word promises it so.

Then, in light of all this… we go and drink?  Look at porn?  Get in the way like that?!?  Oh my goodness.  Incredible cosmic power, joy, purpose, strength, and we want to live in houses full of trash, junk; fill our bodies with filth… and then think that we can be good Christians?

Oh my.  Let Him have you, beloved, let Him have you.

There’s a truth in the world that says we can’t take it with us.  The fact is, believer, we’ve already died.  Galatians 2:20 says, we’ve been crucified with Christ – we no longer live…  Not only can we not take it with us, WE CAN’T HAVE IT NOW. – we gotta lay it down.  There’s nothing left. Our new life has already begun.

Each of us knows what has to go for this to work as He designed.  Oh please reader!  Let it go!  He will not fail,  He will never give up, and He will never run out on you.

Do it.
